NBI Webinar: Industrial Heat Pumps: Manufacturer’s Roundtable

The industrial sector is the second largest consumer of energy in the U.S. Much of this energy use goes towards generating steam or hot water for manufacturing processes. Unfortunately, all this heat production currently requires more than 20 quadrillion BTUs of fossil fuels annually – the equivalent of 400 million gas cars driving 13,000 miles a year!
If we want to reduce carbon emissions, industrial heating should be a priority. Thankfully, heat pumps can help. Mature industrial heat pump technology for 100°C process heating already exists, and 200°C-capable products are on the way. Sub-sectors like Food & Beverage and Pulp & Paper are great candidates for this decarbonization solution, as the waste heat they produce can be efficiently recycled by the heat pump.
